Tardy, Absence, Homework Request
TARDY
School begins at 7:50 a.m. It is important your child comes to school on time. Your child will be marked tardy if he/she arrives to school after 7:50 a.m.
- Your child must report to the school office if it is after 8:00 a.m. and give reason for his/her tardy
- Your child will receive a tardy slip to be admitted to class.
ABSENCE
Attendance Policy was reviewed and approved by the SCC on May 15, 2008.
Regular attendance is important. All children should not miss school unless it is absolutely necessary. In case of absence, please inform the school by one of the following methods:
- send a note to the teacher through a sibling, neighbor’s child stating reason for your child’s absence.
- phone the school office at (808) 307-9700 Ext. 1 before 8:30 a.m. and leave the following information in the mailbox:
- child’s name
- room number
- reason for absence
The office will contact parents at home or work place if the school does not receive notice of a child’s absence.
HOMEWORK REQUEST
You may only request class work/homework for 2 or more days of absences. All homework requests must be made through the office by 9:30am. Assignments can be picked up at the office or sent home with a sibling the following school day.
For 1 day absences, class work/homework will be given to students upon their return.
