RE: ASBESTOS NOTIFICATION SY 2012-13
Dear Parents,
The Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) requires us to notify the faculty, staff,
and the parents of Webling Elementary of the presence and the status of asbestos containing
materials in our school buildings. The law further requires a management plan based upon the
findings of the initial inspection.
The required six months surveillance is completed in June, and the next surveillance is scheduled
for November/December.
The result of the last completed surveillance indicated that there have been no changes in the
condition of the asbestos containing material in our school buildings.
A copy of the school’s Asbestos Management Plan and the six-month surveillance reports are
available for your review in the school’s administrative office during school hours.
